Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a diverse team environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and customer-focused approach.
 - Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, following basic recipes.
 - Label, date, and rotate products according to FIFO principles.
 - Work independently and as part of a team, adapting to various tasks.
 - Follow directions and perform additional duties as required or requested.
 - Prepare a wide variety of patisserie items and breads using traditional and modern recipes.
 - Maintain knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and presentation.
 - Operate efficiently in a clean, organized, and high-pressure environment.
 - Assist with inventory rotation and maintenance.
 - Adhere to NYC Sanitation Code policies and uphold JPMC food quality and safety standards.
 
Required qualifications , capabilities and skills
- Perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully, meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
 - Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
 - Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
 - Stand for prolonged periods and move about on foot to accomplish tasks.
 - Execute frequent movements from place to place within the property, including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching/extending arms and hands above shoulder height, and climbing stairs.
 - Use cutlery proficiently in a safe and swift manner.
 - Operate kitchen equipment effectively.
 - Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
 - Communicate effectively and follow instructions.
 
Preferred qualifications , capabilities and skills
- Have 3 years of previous experience in a professional kitchen.
 - Offer flexible availability, with the ability to work more than 10 hours if needed.
