Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Ability to manage a pipeline of leads and all related activities to ensure timely delivery or an optimal client experience.
2. Decision and evaluate applications within designated authority which includes acceptability of client and third party supplied documentation and services and verification of income/source of repayment.
3. Ability to analyze income and asset verification such as financial, cash flow, bank statements and tax returns.
4. Proactively work with other Default Teammates to deliver completed packages to our clients and/or partner in rendering decisions on accounts.
5. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external clients utilizing strong oral and written communication.
6. Accurately completing documentation in all required systems, providing written correspondence if applicable. Provide support to the department/staff with non-calling activity. Support includes activities such as processing client requests, loan maintenance and required follow-up items.
7. Facilitates and provides resolutions for client escalations within established timeframes while informing management as appropriate.
8. Assist with special projects, department initiatives and additional duties, as assigned.
9. Train, mentor, and assist junior associates; facilitates more complex questions/scenarios; may provide feedback regarding performance.
10. Minimize risk by complying with Federal regulations, state laws, bank policy and procedures. Identify, mitigate, or communicate issues or concerns to appropriate parties. Update/review bank and/or departmental procedures to ensure they align with current policies and practices.

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. High School Education, College degree or equivalent work experience. Solid knowledge of consumer lending products, credit policy, applicable federal laws and regulations, loan documentation and
2. 4 years of consumer underwriting experience.
3. Demonstrate ability to analyze financial and cash flow statements and tax returns.
4. Provide evidence of strong communication, sales and negotiation skills and computer knowledge.
5. Detailed knowledge of real estate industry terminology and practices and ability to review and evaluate documents.
6. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check which includes meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements


Preferred Qualifications:

1.College degree or equivalent work experience.

2.5 years’ consumer underwriting experience in a centralized fast paced, customer service orientated team environment

3.Prior Loss Mitigation experience

4.Leadership experience
