We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager Collectibles to join us on an interim basis. In this role, you will provide overall leadership to the Collectibles team for a defined period, ensuring strategic direction, guidance, and delivery of key objectives. Following this, you will transition into direct responsibility for one of the categories, taking on full category management tasks . This assignment combines both people leadership and hands-on category management , making it a pivotal role to secure continuity, performance, and growth within the Collectibles division during the interim period.
What You Will Accomplish
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Category Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Encourage professional growth and provide guidance to ensure the team meets and exceeds goals throughout the interim assignment.
Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business objectives to ensure a competitive market position and sustainable growth.
Continuously assess market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape , identifying growth opportunities and potential risks, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
Guide and support Category Managers in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key sellers and strategic partners to promote category growth.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of category strategy plans and maintain business continuity.
Set and achieve ambitious Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) targets , closely monitoring performance metrics and adjusting strategies to meet financial expectations during the interim period.
Take on direct category management responsibilities
What You Will Bring
Master’s degree in business or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience , preferably in an e-commerce or strategy consulting environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain productive relationships with sellers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues, analyze challenges, and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Proficiency in analyzing complex data, understanding market research, and tracking consumer trends to make informed decisions and forecast category performance.
Proficiency in English and German
