Perform the daily operations of the manufacturing line to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost reliability and consistency. This role drives departmental operations and is responsible for planning/execution on their shift. Experience in maintaining standard practices and procedures is key to success in this role.The role is for 3rd shift which follows a schedule of 9:30 PM CST – 6:30 AM CST. The typical work week begins on Sunday evening through Friday morning.The role has some autonomy. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Executes production according to the appropriate instructions.
• Oversight and management of front-line union manufacturing employees. Managing non-union hourly employee populations.
• Ensures adherence to production plans and output goals of your shift
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years production, supply chain or leadership experience or High School diploma/GED and 10 years production or supply chain or leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices
• Proficient using Microsoft Suite
