Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
• Has the ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Is accountable to facilitate team meetings, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Is accountable to provide architectural and design blueprint and technical direction to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Is accountable to conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Demonstrates strong understanding of C#, .Net Core, MVC, WEB APIs, Cloud deployments (AWS/Azure)
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
• Proficient in code review keeping performance, exception handling, security and scalability at the center of review process)
• Provide architectural and design blueprint and technical direction to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working at code level
• Experience in integrating applications with ServiceNow
• Understanding of Records Management in content/document space - retention and disposition
• Strong understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle
• Good Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
