Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting. Utilize innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
- Write secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to ensure quality and performance.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
- Foster communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and cutting-edge technologies.
- Contribute to a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
- Develop and test C#/.NET applications for the Windows environment.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET development.
- Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
- Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
- Proficient in SQL.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with the .NET Framework (in addition to .NET Core).
- Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
- Experience with Entity Framework and ADO.NET.
- Experience with T-SQL and SQL Server.
- Experience with multithreading.
- Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
