As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Sr. here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.You will report directly to our Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, and you’ll work out of our Olathe, KS location on a On-site work schedule.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets

• Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions

• Use DFx tools to analyze design and influence design improvements

• Apply APQP & Lean tools and incorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing techniques

• Mentor and coach junior level engineers

• Support production teams with identification/resolution of new product line issues

• Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical)

• 5+ years’ experience in Electronics manufacturing engineering

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing

• Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications

• Experience in the use of Lean tools

• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams

• Experience with design and development processes

• Ability to focus on important information and identify key details

• Strong communication skills

• Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on tasks

• Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes

• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

• Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
