Key goals are for the coming year are:- Improvement in Incident response for Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday.- Build Regional Command and Control Centers in each of our regional hubs in Dublin, Austin, and Sydney.Key job responsibilities
- Drive continual improvement in systems operations through tool building and iterative improvement.
- Define and drive projects that improve efficiency in day-to-day tasks (or automate them away completely), identifying key metrics that reflect the success of those projects, and reporting on their progress.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and customers to understand and meet their need, clarify requirements, and collaboratively develop designs from ambiguous or nebulous problems at wide scale.

- 8+ years of direct experience with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- 8+ years of system administration experience, either as an individual contributor or manager/lead.
- 5+ years experience managing an engineering teams operating online systems in a large scale environment.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure delivered through the software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment including agile development, software /patterns, and modern cloud services.
- Previous experience building tools and services with a security, scalability, and performance focus.

- Experience with distributed systems at scale, including AWS platforms, services and design patterns.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Systems engineering fundamentals (networking, scripting, UI frameworks, data models, or operating systems.)
- Experience managing staff and meetings across multiple sites and time zones.
- Experience interacting with, and influencing, technical leaders at all levels.
- 5 years as the Systems Engineering/DevOps leader in a management role.
