As a Collections Manager I in Auto Recovery, you will lead a team of full-time employees and oversee complex, high-risk segments of the Auto Finance portfolio. Your responsibilities include managing all floor operations, from training and hiring to coaching and performance management. Beyond personnel management, you'll design and implement solutions for evolving operational needs, ensuring effectiveness and control. Demonstrating expertise, you'll handle the most complex cases and drive operational strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure collections efforts meet expectations.
  • Monitor live and recorded collection calls.
  • Coach and develop direct reports.
  • Conduct account reviews.
  • Assist staff where needed.
  • Administer team members' monthly quality reviews and scorecards.
  • Implement corrective actions for direct reports as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to department procedures and timely submission of modifications.
  • Track attendance and adhere to time and attendance guidelines.
  • Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Process monthly charge-offs.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • three years of leadership experience in post-primary or recovery collections
  • three years of collections or related experience
  • Knowledge of FDCPA collection requirements, CFPB, Reg. F, Privacy Act, and the FACT Act
  • Extensive knowledge of collection techniques for both open and charged-off auto accounts
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet deliverable time frames
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills
  • Previous experience handling unique or specialized accounts
  • Familiarity with
    Familiarity with internal Chase Auto Finance systems
    and Recovery One system is beneficial
  • Previous experience in the auto industry is advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
