As Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll define solutions that meet the requirements of our customers. You'll be both the customers' trusted advisor and technical expert.
You'll collaborate with sales partners, facilitate product adoption, and grow accounts with a winning mindset.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with the sales team to understand client requirements and pain points.
• Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customer's needs.
• Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos, Customer Analysis Reports (CAR's) and Proof of Concepts (POC's).
• Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent
• Have experience working in a customer-facing technical solutions pre-sales or post sale role
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse, non-technical audiences
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
• Possess technical knowledge of cloud computing solutions, application security, and Zero Trust Network Access is welcomed.
