Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM US Government Security Administrator position is required to support safeguarding of US DoD facilities within IBM’s Reston/Chantilly locations and help maintain an over-all compliant US government security program. This position supports both physical and personnel security for multiple contracts and customers.
- Processes new and existing employee security clearances
- Tracks security clearance investigations and performs administrative support functions in DISS, NBIS, and E-APP government systems.
- Provides security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for on-site and off-site personnel.
- Processes incoming/ outgoing visit requests and certifications
- Foreign Travel Reporting
- Review, processes, and screens security SF86 forms
- Ensures document control security by safeguarding classified documents in accordance with the NISPOM and through coordination with government agencies and the FSO.
- Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections.
- Supports the company’s completion and retention of personnel security clearance records.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Must possess at minimum a DOD secret clearance
- Strong knowledge of DISS, NBIS and e-QIP government programs, SF86, DD 254 process
- Knowledge of CUI requirements, policies, and regulations
- Knowledge of NISPOM, SEAD requirements
- Detail oriented with strong Administrative Skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in an Industrial Security support role
- TS level clearance (or able to obtain)
