Description
The Writing arm of our Product, Design & Marketing team works across services and products, including ones that are currently available and ones that are just barely being imagined. As a UX Writer focused on regulatory and compliance projects, you’ll be responsible for many things, including:* Writing, editing, and optimizing user-facing content like privacy notices, consent forms, data protection policies, and regulatory disclosures tailored to Apple users.* Developing and documenting core writing standards for regulatory and compliance-related materials, ensuring alignment with legal and industry requirements.* Building close relationships with legal and privacy teams to ensure clarity and consistency of regulatory messaging.* Working on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education.* Collaborating with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to define and execute our product roadmap.* Addressing feedback and improving performance of our content and customer experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Have an unrelenting passion for user-focused product experiences and are curious about every step in the user’s journey, from onboarding to error states.
  • Possess a solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulations and data protection laws, ensuring that Apple is always aligned with the latest legal and regulatory developments.
  • Know how to work with wireframes and functional specs, and are familiar with design tools like Sketch.
  • Comfortable developing well-informed points of view, while also remaining open to adjustments based on input from others.
  • Experience managing several projects simultaneously and able to dynamically reprioritize as needed.

  • Can write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word with input from multiple team members.
  • Deliver passionate and impactful presentations at all levels of an organization.
  • Collaborate and build relationships across product functions, demonstrating an ability to circulate and advocate for language.
  • Have an inexhaustible attention to detail.
  • Enjoy contributing to and implementing style guides and shared nomenclature across Apple services.
  • Know and are excited about evolving the Apple ecosystem of hardware, software, and services.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
