You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilities- Work closely with service owners to understand product roadmaps and devise programs to meet capacity requirements.- Identify vendors and develop commercial solutions that solve for dark fiber and other network infrastructure capacity.
- Manage contract lifecycle and negotiate renewals to optimize costs and maintain compliant vendor relationships.
- Track and maintain information on overall telecom market segment trends and developments in terms of vendor technologies, coverage, cost and deal structures.- Participate in strategic network topology planning for our metro networks.
- Work closely with network planning to ensure that acquisitions meet our topology requirements and budgets.- Willing to travel 10% of time.Diverse Experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Candidates should have a minimum of 5-years telecommunications industry experience in procurement and negotiations of dark fiber.
- Experience working in a network planning or implementation role at an ISP, telecoms operator, or CDN.
- Ability to build complex financial models from scratch.
