Develops and implements policies and procedures for production operations
Network with other sites to plan, examine, analyze, and evaluate production operations for products shared across the organization
Plans, examines, analyzes, and evaluates production operations within the site
Drives site schedule by prioritizing resources/activities for manufacturing and support functions
Prepares production reports, reviews operating and financial data and makes recommendations for improvements
Evaluates work performance and initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selection, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures
Takes an active role in developing less experienced Managers and Technical leads. This includes leveraging both internal and external relationships to build the best team possible
Resolves grievances, investigates customer complaints, and proactively participates in problem resolution
Directs and coordinates work and production schedules and general department activities through subordinates
Lead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment
All interactions, work flow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a “Customer Service” approach to both internal and external customers
Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules
Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree in a related field preferred
Work Experience
Minimum 10 years required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience
Experience in an ISO regulated industry, preferably in medical device manufacturing
Experience working with injection molding processes
License and Certifications
Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites. If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues. Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet. The ability to be able to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
