What you’ll achieve

You will provide end-to-end support for new product launches and supply chain operations, including product classification under the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), export licensing management, international documentation, U.S. Customs program oversight, and customs broker management. This role offers both strategic and tactical support in developing and managing international supply chains, assessing global trade risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will help achieve key initiatives and company goals by leveraging strategic insight to manage international trade programs and adapt to changes in customs regulations, applying analytical skills to evaluate customs fees and duties, and ensuring compliance with all trade regulations and policies.

You Will:

  • Interpret and apply US export control regulations and other international trade regulations to company operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments including IT, Legal, and regional compliance teams to support export operations, processes, and controls.
  • Provide training and guidance on export compliance regulations to the Ops team and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with export control regulations.
  • Conduct transaction reviews for product license requirements and restricted party screening. Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for trade regulations and their application to company transactions. Stay updated on changes in export control regulations and ensure the company’s compliance program is aligned with current requirements.


Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Export Compliance Professional or related degree, certification(s), or professional license.
  • Knowledge of global trade practices and sanctions.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex regulations. Attention to detail to ensure compliance with all export control laws.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with government agencies and internal teams. Problem-solving abilities to address compliance issues effectively.
  • Strong working knowledge of the EAR and up to date on current regulations. Experience with export documentation, licensing , and compliance audits

Desirable Requirements

  • Proficiency in relevant software such as GTM, and tools for export compliance management.
  • Continuous education to stay updated with evolving regulations.
