Job Description:
Responsibilities will include:
Developing processes and artefacts to support the patent strategy for the enterprise and each major LOBs: patent portfolio management, freedom to operate.
Work with OPI team members to develop deep level data analytics against TD's product and project portfolio to identify and realize new opportunities within the TD Patent program.
Responsible for establishing and developing relationships with Leaders across the enterprise to continue to capture TD's innovation.
Assist with maintaining TD's leadership position in the US and Canadian markets.
Work with the Senior Manager, Patent Portfolio Management to ensure that we are capturing the right innovation to help manage the strategic vision of TD.
Other Qualifications/ Skills and Experience
10+ years' experience in technology & software development
5+ years' experience in patent filing activities
2+ years' experience in Business or Product management
2+ years' experience in a startup or focused entrepreneurial experience
Proven ability to establish and execute large enterprise scale projects.
Proven ability to generate and obtain approval of new Business opportunities.
Proven experience as an innovator and creative thinker quick at connecting-the-dots and understanding the value opportunities in the innovation.
Experience working closely with senior leadership, group managers, and IP professional to develop patent business opportunities and skills to present and influence all audiences.
Understanding of data modelling, AI models, and presenting complex Data to a senior audience is a strong asset for this position.
Experience in design thinking methodology, design thinking-based activities and awareness of patent process is an asset.
Education Requirements
Science or technical undergraduate degree preferred, post graduate degree is an asset.
