We are looking for a talented Strategy director, to join our Greater China GTM organization and lead strategic projects and initiatives that will define the business direction in China and put them into action.
As a thought leader for China, you must be a fast learner who can dive into the intricacies of the cross-border payment industry and our business, grasp technical and commercial concepts and deeply understand the challenges and opportunities faced. Your primary responsibility will be end-to-end ownership of China strategy development to drive the growth of our China business.
You must be an inspirational leader who can empower fellow team members to initiate and lead and be great at working with colleagues from different cultures and time zones.
What’s the job?
Independently own impactful strategy work end-to-end, develop insights required to drive breakthrough success
Drive end-to-end strategic projects, from framing the problem, gaining alignment over resource investments to implementation
Support planning & budgeting processes, aligning short- and long-term goals
Build complex business cases, financial analyses, modeling, analyzing, and forecasting the financial impact
Engage directly with customers to validate strategic hypotheses
Collaborate closely with local GTM teams to understand market nuances and drive traction for new initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to execute cross-company initiatives
Track market trends and identify new opportunities for Payoneer
Work closely with the business to understand business trends and recommend ways moving forward
Is this you?
B.A/B.Sc. in an analytical discipline (Engineering, mathematics, economics, etc.) from top Tier universities. MBA in a top school is an advantage
10+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting firms, venture capital or tech strategy teams, with at least 3+ years leading teams.
Strategic thinking combined with understanding of products and market development
Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving
Proficient in market & competitive analysis, and how to leverage core competencies to create defensible strategies
Mastery of building complex data analysis to support strategic decisions
Fluency in English both oral and written
Passion for technology, as well as the dynamics and trends within business technology/fintech markets
Self-motivated, focus on impact, result-driven
A problem solver and thought leader, experienced working under pressure
Not a must but great advantages
Experience with worldwide growth strategy, including new products, markets, product market fit, others, especially in the Fintechs.
