Responsibilities:

The Software Telemetry lead should have deep knowledge of the compute product (requirements, system architecture, HW—SW contracts, high-level SW design), breadth of expertise and collaborate with other engineering & business teams to execute smoothly under tight schedules to deliver successful results. Lead a team to architect and Implement telemetry framework for compute ecosystem. Drive Project Planning Activities Provide SW assessment of project scope, overall effort and risks Work with all relevant SW and non-SW teams to ensure overall project plans, commitments and schedule are viable and signed off Work with customer engineering to plan OEM activities Work with OEMs for logging and telemetry improvements Participate in Windows OS feature planning Project Execution and Commercialization Overall representative in project level forums representing SW team (core team meetings, exec reviews, architecture discussions, cross functional team planning Key driver in ensuring full SW functionality, including cross functional/system features, are delivered from all aspects (dev, integration, test, debug). Central person in driving cross functional issues related to logging and telemetry, leading all relevant teams involved Collaborate with Microsoft for OS improvements and new features as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Embedded SW for SoC, HLOS (Android, etc) and RTOS systems

  • Wireless technologies (CDMA/WCDMA/LTE/5GNR; WLAN; BT)

  • MM technologies: Camera, Video, Audio, Display

  • Power, performance and thermal system optimizations

  • Compute ecosystem knowledge Embedded SW for SoC, Windows HLOS and RTOS systems MM technologies: Camera, Video, Audio, Display AI Technologies knowledge Power, performance and thermal system knowledge

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Software Project Engineer should have deepknowledge of the Snapdragon product (requirements, system architecture, HW—SW contracts, high-level SW design), breadth of expertise and collaborate with other engineering & business teams to execute smoothly under tight schedules to deliver successful results.

  • Drive Project Planning Activities

  • Provide SW assessment of project scope, overall effort and risks

  • Work with all relevant SW and non-SW teams to ensure overall project plans, commitments and schedule are viable and signed off

  • Participating in product definition with PdMs, feeding SW requirements into product planning (RFP, RFQ)

  • HW HLDR participation as main SW representative influencing and driving HW decision in order to minimize SW impact

  • Lead ES/FC/CS planning

  • Project Execution and Commercialization

  • Overall representative in project level forums representing SW team (core team meetings, exec reviews, architecture discussions, cross functional team planning

  • Lead SW pre-Si planning and SW workshops ensuring end to end pre-Si effort covers all areas required for successful TO and bring up. Ensure all risky system use cases are planned for and executed.

  • Key driver in ensuring full SW functionality, including cross functional/system features, are delivered from all aspects (dev, integration, test, debug).

  • Lead day to day project execution by running SW scrums, system level issue debug and resolution

  • Lead Bring up planning and workshops ensuring SOD is executed with utmost precision and efficiency, on all platforms

  • Lead SW bring up effort, typically 6-8 weeks of around the clock effort across all SW teams

  • Lead ES/FC/CS efforts and ensuring all quality, KPIs and customer criteria is met.

  • Providing daily tactical decision making for all teams involved – dev, test, integration and debug

  • Central person in driving internal and external cross functional issues, leading all relevant teams involved

  • Help integrate customer demands and plans into overall SW plan and execute per customer commitments
