Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for the operation and maintenance of power distribution and motor control equipment for the on-site waste water treatment facility. This position will have the responsibility of knowing and learning the technical specifications for all unique models and coordinating with the Equipment Engineer to ensure overall reliability and performance of the fleet.During construction, this position will likely need to support installation quality control andactivities, while training at the existing operation facility to learn the site standards and work procedures.Semiconductor fabrication is a 24/7 operation which requires this position to be available to support on-shift technicians with troubleshooting and also to respond to emergencies site in off-hours.This is a full time position 1st shift that works 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F. OT as required by project or site needs.
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Perform preventive maintenance activities on power distribution and motor control equipment in support of system reliability.
Responds to equipment and system failures and utilizes structured problem solving and troubleshooting techniques to perform failure evaluations of power distribution systems, motor control centers, and synchronous drives and make necessary adjustments to return normal operational status.
QAQC and commissioning new equipment upon installation for initial start-up or upgrades and replacements.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment and repair, and to ensure compliance with NEC and job site specifications.
Interpret blueprints and schematics, suggesting improvements, as needed.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, inside cleanrooms, high noise areas or hot environments to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Install electrical services ranging from 480 volts AC to 24 volts DC.
Use CMMS to track repairs, parts inventory, and preventive maintenance.
Establish and write policies, procedures and guidelines for plant operations and maintenance
Here’s What You’ll Bring to Samsung:
- High School Diploma or GED is required; with some college or trade school preferred, apprentice work/study program is a positive.
- Texas Journeyman License preferred
- 1+ years’ experience working with power distribution and motor control equipment of various types.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
- Strong knowledge of the NEC 70E code as it applies to industrial installations. OSHA 30 card.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution system and single line diagrams.
- Knowledge of standard practices of the Electrical trade.
- Trained in the theory and maintenance of power distribution systems.
- Trained in the theory and maintenance of electric motors and motor control systems.
- Experience and training in the use of meters to read Voltage, Current (Amps).
The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $45.00. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.
