Job Description:

The Wealth Management Strategy team provides the Group Head and the Operating Committee pan-wealth strategic thought leadership and decision support by:

  • Leading on-going strategic planning

  • Identifying and framing growth opportunities including cross-business synergies

  • Being the forward conscious of the business

  • Better contextualizing the competitive landscape

  • Influencing and managing stakeholders internally and externally to deliver results

Job Description

Furthermore, the role:

  • Provides strategic advice to the Operating Committee through thought leadership, effective analysis and articulation of the pan-wealth strategy

  • Leads the annual strategy planning process and analytical assessments to inform the process with appropriate recommendations

  • Informs business investments prioritization that will position the business for future growth

  • Provides forward-thinking insights related to potential changes and disruption impacting value proposition across the business

  • Lead research and financial analysis on companies and industry trends, leveraging both internal and external sources of information

  • Interpret results, generate insights, and prepare presentation to effectively distill complex concepts into clear findings and recommendations for senior executives

  • Establishes relationships and collaborates with stakeholders across the Bank taking into consideration competing priorities and organizational sensitivities

  • Represents the team both internally across the organization and externally

  • Successfully leads multi-dimensional and large team-based projects

  • Mentors and develops manager-level staff


Job Requirements

  • MBA or other Masters level degree preferred

  • CPA and/or CFA qualification would be an asset

  • 10+ years of business or strategy experience

  • Direct Wealth industry experience would be an asset

  • Knowledge of wealth/asset management industry would be an asset

  • Knowledge of financial modelling tools and techniques and/or statistical method

  • Comfort in leading multiple tasks and working to meet tight timelines

  • Good understanding of the Bank’s financial drivers and structure

  • Stronganalytically-anchoredproblem-solving skills, with a solid background working with data, conducting analysis, interpreting results and writingreports/presentations

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Conceptual and strategic thinker

  • Ability to interact effectively with senior leaders across the enterprise demonstrating superior judgement

  • Tactical thinker and leader with respect to solution development and implementation

  • Ability to work with pace and manage multiple time-sensitive and competing priorities
