The Regulatory Engagement Senior Officer is a seasoned risk and control professional who supports regulatory engagement and accountable for on-time delivery of regulatory commitments. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitates and adaptive to changes demanded due to dynamic regulatory environment.
- Develops, maintains and enhances applicable procedures and controls to mitigate potential risks of non-compliance with enforcement actions or commitments under corrective actions proposed.
- Support Issue Management Teams for on-time remediation of all corrective actions
- Support the Manager's Control Assessment process related to Enforcement Actions
- Support management reporting (including reporting to the board) of the progress of all corrective actions required under the enforcement actions
- Ensure that all updates to the board are reviewed and approved by the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Ensure that responses to all Quarterly Monitoring questions and other regulatory requests are submitted to the regulators in a timely manner.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Regulatory Engagement, Program Management or Risk & Control Functions
- Expertise in using collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Teams etc)
- Expertise in creating updates and presentations for Senior Management
- Demonstrated success delivering in a high-volume, goal-based production/operations-based environment
- Program Management or Regulatory Engagement experience preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
