Employee Relations plays an integral role in people strategies, using data analytics & technology to deliver industry-leading services.
As an Employee Relations Partner in the Global Employee Relations organization, you will help establish and implement a global vision, strategy and operating model to better understand and respond to manager and employee concerns. This includes partnership with the business, function, and human resource (HR) leaders on an in-depth review of feedback, culture & conduct, performance and employee experience aspects of regulatory-related deliverables. Overall, this organization will span the traditional HR lifecycle, employee engagement and broader listening strategy.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as a case manager responsible for intaking reports of alleged employee misconduct
- Use research tools and professional judgment to identify issues and potential risks associated with a given report. Based on that assessment, determine the appropriate disposition of reports. Disposition may include providing guidance to clients fact finding, or routing the report to the team within Employee Relations best positioned to resolve the identified issues
- Conduct fact finding as needed, including interviewing complainants and other employees, reviewing digital and physical records, and making credibility determinations
- Provide in-depth consultation to clients on behavior concerns using numerous media channels including phone, email, and Zoom
- Assist in educating and strengthening managers’ people leadership skills, ensuring robust and equitable outcomes to behavioral matters that are raised. Direct clients to available online tools and resources to assist in managing behavior concerns
- Identify and anticipate client needs and apply understanding or perspectives to solve problems and ensure outcomes in a timely manner
- Understand the importance of and be comfortable with following defined processes and protocols to ensure consistency and standardization of workflow
- Demonstrate a risk and control mindset; observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of sensitive information received during course of responding to issues
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of advising on employee relations matters
- Familiarity with state and federal employment laws, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to handle high volume case load
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change with composure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; key attention to detail. Proven ability to utilize critical thinking in approaching each situation presented
- Possesses a risk and control mindset; follows published protocols around conducting investigations and tracking activities related to carrying out key responsibilities. Applies a consistent and appropriate level of review when decisioning cases and providing guidance while escalating appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills including emotional intelligence; thoughtful, thorough, and empathetic
- Exceptional communication in difficult situations; ability to flex intervention style based on the needs of the situation and succinctly present balanced feedback and influence stakeholders at all levels ensuring successful execution of resolution – ability to solve problem
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resource Management or equivalent Human Resource or Management experience
- Previous experience working in a high volume fast paced environment
