Job Description:

Get involved in Google Vertex AI solutions Stack to bring cutting-edge cloud solutions into existing stacks, such as AutoML, custom training, BQML, real-time inferencing, features stores, GenAI, etc. You will be working closely with our data science team to ensure that our models are deployed, monitored, and scaled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain our machine learning infrastructure, recommendation engine, pipelines on PayPal in-house stacks and GCP stacks
  • Build and maintain automated workflows for data preparation, model training, and deployment
  • Support omni-channel consumer personalization experience across all PayPal brands
  • Build full stack POC and production solution for LLM Agentic solutions with MCP, RAG, etc.
  • Work closely with our data science team to ensure that models are deployed, monitored, and scaled efficiently
  • Collaborate with the Infra/Data Platform team to ensure that the machine learning infrastructure is integrated with the overall system architecture
  • Implement best practices for version control, testing, and deployment of machine learning models
  • Monitor the performance of deployed models and implement solutions for optimization
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest recommendation solutions and incorporate them into our infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Software and Machine Learning Engineer related roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Javascript
  • Good knowledge and experience with Cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, Azure to build enterprise level solutions
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with DevOps best practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Quick learner, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

This position is hybrid and requires in-office presence about 3 days a week in our San Jose, CA Headquarters.
