Directs and controls the conversion of technical trends into useful information for BUs, coordination of (TRM) Technical Review workshops and product positioning/ inflections mapping for one or more functional areas.
Has "guru" understanding of global, technical and market trends and executes a systematic process for capturing competitive intelligence
Directs and executes the mapping trends, opportunities and threats to roadmap and strategies.
Extensive contact with the field is required. Requires 25% travel

This is a Senior Technologist position focusing on Logic/ Foundry/ Patterning Technology
- Work with leading logic manufacturers on positioning, adoption, and integration of Applied Materials Front End Process technology with emphasis on Ion Implant, thermal and anneal process and related processes
- Provide regular update on upcoming device inflections and implications to Applied Material Products
- Translate inflections in Semiconductor logic/foundry/ patterning technology to process equipment requirements
- Lead and manage a team of process engineers to develop applications for customers.
- Work across business units and other organizations within Applied Materials to develop differentiated process integration steps or modules.
- Work with a team of marketing, technical, and engineering professionals to develop advanced Ion Implant solutions, define technology road and product road maps
