Job Description:

Strategy, Governance and Enablement Group (SGE) is establishing a centralized group to define roadmap, and lead business analysis and requirements for execution across Financial Risk. The objective of this team is to liaise across Financial Risk Stakeholders to drive key initiatives across data and technology landscape partnering with enabling platforms.

JobDescription/Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for delivering end-to-end project commitments through discovery, planning, execution, and closure activities.

  • Lead and execute risk project implementations to meet upcoming and ongoing business and regulatory demands.
  • Work with stakeholders to define & document requirements, perform data/system/impact analysis, develop test plans and execute and/or support UAT.
  • Deliver on concurrent initiatives in a highly matrixed project and functional environment. Execute them within budget, timelines, and other project commitments.
  • Partner with Risk Functions, Project Delivery Teams and Technology stakeholders to define requirements, support testing, data analysis, and integration activities.
  • Spearhead process change efforts by working in collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders to detail current state and desired future state end-to-end processes.
  • Continually reassess business needs; identify opportunities for standardization, optimization and scalability within Risk.
  • Come up with recommendations to mitigate against business problems, project issues, and risks, using a pragmatic approach and strategic outlook.
  • Build and continue to strengthen relationships with stakeholders across the Bank. This includes gathering feedback as required and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction through the lifecycle of the engagement

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of pan-risk-functions (e.g., market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk) with subject matter expertise in one or more.
  • Prior working experience leading or participating in change initiatives impacting multiple stakeholders and processes, utilizing waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Prior working knowledge of Cross-Bank Segments including Retail, Wholesale and Corporate functions
  • In-depth understanding of the end-to-end product life cycle.
  • Fundamental understanding of emerging regulatory standards and market standards.
  • Strong leadership and relationship building capabilities.
  • Experience in collaborating with a team of varying sizes to meet organizational goals.
  • Experience in working with project work-streams in a highly matrixed structure from inception through closure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to translate technically complex issues for the benefit of others.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrating strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to lead the requirements gathering process
  • Programming language skills such as VBA, SQL, Python, etc for data analysis and process improvements.
  • Experience with Process Orchestration and Reporting tools such as Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with workflow management tools such as Confluence or JIRA.
  • CFA, FRM, PRM CPA, CA accreditations are nice to have
