Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures and practices to assure compliance with regulatory and GE requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, HMT, ANSI and IATA)

  • Engage and influence leadership commitment to EH&S and coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS priorities

  • Able to influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practices

  • Manage key EHS performance indicators (KPI) for the site and drive necessary efforts for success

  • Lead incident investigations and drive closure of effectivecorrective/preventiveactions

  • Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance

  • Assure good standing and action plans with GE’s Environmental Health & Safety Framework

  • Interface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies, as needed

  • Execute required actions to maintain OSHA VPP

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, or closely related degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in successful EHS program implementation

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment

  • Strong knowledge of US EHS related regulatory requirements

  • Solid understanding of safety standards

  • Experience with program and project management

Desired Characteristics
  • High say/do ratio

  • Self-starter with high energy

  • Advanced computer skills (knowledge in Gensuite a plus)

  • OSHA VPP experience and/or SGE certification

  • 1-2 years’ project management experience

  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
