You will together with people in the local operations as well as the global EHS organization, work to ensure the business is conducted in accordance with legislation, environmental permits and management systems, as well as work with follow-up/reporting and further development of instructions and working methods.
Responsibilities
  • Develop our systematic work environment management and environmental work both strategically and operationally and act as expert support in improvement work, both regarding legal requirements and internal guidelines and requirements.

  • Support to the plant's management team in matters relating to health, safety and environment.

  • Ensure legal compliance and adherence to GE HealthCare's EHS framework.

  • Organize and lead relevant audits, inspections and supervisory visits.

  • EHS related improvement work, exercises, risk analyses and investigations in the area of environment and work environment.

  • In collaboration with colleagues within the GE HealthCare EHS organization and locally, develop instructions in the area and implement them in the business.

  • Follow up and compile reports in the area of the environment and work environment.

  • Support the line organization in the daily work environment and environmental work.

  • Collaborate with managers across the business to development and improve the organization's work in the area.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Qualifications and requirements
  • This role requires advanced experience in the Environmental Health & Safety field. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Experience and knowledge of Swedish work environmental regulations (SAM, OSA, AFS)

  • Work permit to be able to work in Sweden

  • Very good language knowledge in both English and Swedish
