In this role, you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences and act as the voice of our end-users. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support testing of multiple features and drive the quality via extensive hands-on functional testing of user-facing features and systems via functional and automation-driven approaches. You'll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will require deep integration with our development engineers, developing test plans and user studies, bug triaging, and supporting design reviews. You should be able to communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with key partners or leaders. Your leadership skills will drive communication across multiple organizations, negotiate various asks, and cultivate growth within the team. You’ll be responsible for bringing test cases, functional, and working through complex development cycles for multiple areas.
- BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering and a minimum of five years of professional experience
- Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools
- Proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details, with a focus on end-user experiences and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release
- Experience developing detailed test plans, assessing risks, filing detailed bug reports, and providing relevant data for test reporting
- Experience with video streaming technology (ie, AVC, HEVC, live streaming encoders)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; discovering and documenting software and hardware defects; prioritizing and calling out problems to peers and management, driving their resolution
- Triage and provide detailed debug information for expediting issue resolution
- Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies, while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained
- Cover a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing
- Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems
- Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile/console applications
- Knowledge of Apple Platform development using Xcode, Swift, OR Objective-C preferred
- Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile applications, and experiences
- Working knowledge of iOS/OS/WatchOS or other Apple ecosystem products
