Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical infrastructure. Ensure that all work performed within the space is done to high quality and without impact to internal/external customers
* Manage the performance of engineering technicians in all aspects of their career development
* Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion
* Ensure staffing is maintained and grow with expansions
* Be actively involved in ongoing construction activities with our colo providers within the ATL region.* Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expendituresThis position will be responsible for the oversight of multiple facilities within a single AWS Region.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Ordering equipment and supplies for data center and their staff through purchase orders (PO)Responsible for entire facility, including cooling, electrical, HVAC systems,Support sites and even interior and exterior such as landscaping contracts and repairing/painting inside through vendors.Responsible for job performance of staff and setting goalsReviewing Change management and SOPs to ensure they meet AWS standards and policies

- Four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, equivalent technical training, or work experience
- 5+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports preferably managing other managers.
- This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen.

- 5+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.
- Advanced understanding of equipment life cycle management.
- Experience managing operational and capital budgets.
- Experience and proven track record developing staffing models, hiring for high performing teams and developing leadership within their organization.
- An excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units.
