Develop basic and model patterns, drive the pattern creation of fit critical model patterns in cooperation with x-functional partners based on market requirements.
Leads and drives the Basic Pattern/3D template selection process, and understand future business needs to determine future basic pattern requirements.
Provide pattern solutions on ongoing basis to optimize fit of the garment, drives both physical fitting and virtual fitting by using new methods and systems and/or new constructions. Where applicable creates virtual prototypes to increase speed and efficiency of the product creation process.
Understands and considers relationship between pattern/material usage/yields during pattern creation as it relates to margins, with the collaboration with material and costing team
maintains the information in the product creation system and ensures that new patterns are wear tested as needed
Evaluates and implements standard grading rules to ensure consistency in fit and contributes actively in terms of fit/principle pattern guidelines
In collaboration with all global pattern teams consolidates basic pattern across all BUs, ensures aligned needs of all CC/Brands and is a contact for all basic pattern directions and application usage for assigned category
Consults and trains Marketing, Design, Product Developer on pattern and fit updates and issue resolution
Develops and communicates training plans and manuals for the global pattern, Product Development teams, Sourcing team and T1s. (i.e. how to measure manual, seasonal Fit Classification manual)
Supports Digital Pattern projects, including tool development and smart solutions to enable digital E2E.
Contributes to develop and implement newprocesses and frameworks.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge in pattern creation and grading with the ability to provide effective and cost-efficient pattern solutions and an understanding of apparel construction, material construction and properties related to fit
Ability to interpret and evaluate designs on model level regarding pattern execution/engineering
Confident in all aspects of production, garment construction and manufacturing
Strong team player/communicator with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under multiple deadlines.
Ability to effectively present information and trainings in one-on-one and large group situations to vendors, designers, and other employees of the organization
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in Gerber or similar CAD programs
Advanced knowledge in V-Stitcher, Clo 3D or similar 3D programs
Advanced IT skills (Illustrator, MS Office)
Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Technical college/fashion school training in pattern making / grading, “Meisterbrief” or equivalent education
Minimum of 5 years related work experience in garment industry in comparable role
