Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of firmware development in bare-metal or RTOS environments ideally in consumer electronics.
- 2+ years of sensing system hardware engineering experience such as optical, IMU, capacitive, environmental, light, motion, radar, acoustic, etc.
- 2+ years management experience in fw/sw engineering.
- Experience building and mentoring strong firmware platform teams.
- Experience driving large or complex projects throughout full product and sw development lifecycle; including defining goals and ensuring milestone delivery.
- Able to succeed in collaborative cross-functional environment across many teams and across organization.
- Influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of management.
- Strong, demonstrable coding skills in C/C++ in production environments.
- Clear understanding of customer experience and impact, respective use cases and expected performance.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support is also expected.
Education & Experience
M.S. in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent industry experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $316,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
