In this role you’ll help lead the overall portfolio performance and delivery within the Madison metropolitan area across the Transportation market. We already have a strong portfolio in the Transportation market in Milwaukee and you will be responsible to work with our Milwaukee staff to build a Transportation team in Madison. You will provide leadership and connectivity across operations, sales, project delivery, and market solutions functions to ensure the best collaboration in service to our business, our people, and our clients. You’ll get to leverage and amplify our Jacobs brand in the local marketplace and help accelerate our impact in creating enduring social value and community impact. You’ll provide inspirational leadership to the local team and leverage your experience and influence across the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll serve as a key local leader and will be accountable and responsible for the following activities:
• Known and trusted Transportation industry executive to lead the Jacobs’ Madison operations
• Serves as a principal point of contact with all local Madison Transportation clients
• Responsible for committed Business Metrics & KPIs, including P&L components within the larger Director of Operations’ targets
• Key decision-maker to position and develop strategic teaming arrangements for Wisconsin Transportation clients such as WisDOT, City of Madison and other strategic local units of government
• Recruit and hire top talent in the Madison area, retain talent, and promote an inclusive and diverse environment
• Effectively integrates sales, operations, and project delivery functions
• Market growth opportunities, working jointly with Transportation and Water Market Growth Directors and Regional Market Solution Leaders
• External visibility to promote the Jacobs brand throughout the greater Madison area, Dane County and WisDOT
• Oversee people development and career development for Madison based staff
• Promotes Jacobs BeyondZero, quality, and safety programs to create an incident- and injury-free culture
• Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in Transportation - with a desire to work across other markets (water & buildings)
• Madison Market Knowledge: brings established relationships with Madison-based clients; has a commanding knowledge of the greater Madison area market, specifically in Transportation; and understands the political landscape driving local public policy and actively engages in government affairs
• Key Decision Maker: demonstrates decisiveness and courage in making tough decisions; can navigate and manage conflict resolution
• Outcome Driven: establishes KPIs and disseminates results to local staff and other stakeholders; demonstrates relentless prioritization for growth in the Transportation market in Madison and results that keep pace with business needs and expectations from Senior Leadership
• Client Centric: brings genuine relationships with Madison area clients; strong partnership with other Client Account Managers (CAM) to deliver tailored, cross-functional, future-forward solutions that anticipate/address clients’ evolving needs

Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer Registration in WI
• Profit & Loss management experience
