What you'll do...


Responsibilities:

  • Bring competitive insights to assortment / selection strategy on Walmart MP.
  • Lead/define a comprehensive product strategy through formulation of a multi-pronged approach focused on seller and customer outcomes.
  • Design a framework of identifying assortment/selection gaps, for every line of business (1P/2P/3P), in collaboration with Catalog, Data Science, Selling Partner Services, Fulfillment, Trade, Compliance, Legal, Seller recruiting and business teams.
  • Lead/define the product roadmap, for initiatives that can deliver an impact in-year while also focusing on building foundational capabilities/enhancements to deliver on MLP (Minimum Lovable Product) and future expansion opportunities.

You will make an impact by:

  • Creating product strategy – Develop roadmap/initiatives to grow assortment/selection and advocate for features that allow sellers to optimize their assortment, availability, and listing functions effectively on Walmart Marketplace(s).
  • Driving end to end ownership – Manage applicable system solutions for new features and ensure end to end ownership of solutions by working with relevant cross-functional groups including Data science and engineering teams.
  • Leading product initiatives – Ensure critical business issues and core product strategies are addressed in product decisions; drive process changes based on feedback; drive resource allocation decisions; and set the standard for Product Manager deliverables.
  • Working cross-functionally and across multiple locations – Communication, collaboration, and organization are key to your success. Work with cross-functional teams to translate the product strategy into a product roadmap and engineering sprints.
  • Building – Take features from ideation / exploration with customers to full launch and rollout, including marketing plan and field enablement.
  • Moving fast – Work in an agile and iterative team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area
  • 8 years’ experience in product management, ecommerce, business strategy or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) to generate business/product documents, and basic to intermediatory skills with analytics tools (SQL, Python, R)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, or related area
  • Business Consulting experience in ecommerce, category merchandizing, retail operations, or related area.
  • 10+ years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, complex B2B/C products, Cross Border Supply chain, Supervisory experience.
