Senior Consultant or Manager – Actuarial – Government and Public Sector - Financial Services

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Completed, or progressing towards completing, actuarial qualification (FIAA) with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in an actuarial role.
  • Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a background in actuarial science, data science, statistics, physics, or other quantitative fields, including experience in modeling and coding.
  • Demonstrate strong technical actuarial skills, proficient in actuarial software and programming languages such as SAS, R, and Python.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and confidently to non-specialists.
  • Driven by a desire to innovate and make a meaningful difference.
  • Australian citizenship (to achieve security clearance for some government clients)

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Experience in consultancy or a client-facing role
  • Experience in health, aged care, human services (e.g. disability, justice, child protection) or government insurance schemes

Please note that this position is located in Canberra and is best suited for individuals already residing in Canberra or those open to relocating.
