RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with our GM and executive team to define our XR vision and mission. Align XR strategies with our overall business objectives.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive XR plans, including product roadmaps, market positioning, and ecosystem partnerships.

  • Lead a talented team of XR product management experts and influence global engineers, designers, and researchers. Foster innovation, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Conversant of XR trends, emerging technologies, and industry standards. Drive innovation by integrating our package of chipset, software, and system solutions up through the stack.

  • Identify strategic opportunities for XR applications in automotive, healthcare, gaming, industrial automation, and beyond. Cultivate partnerships with OEMs, developers, and content creators.

  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our XR products. Collaborate with QA teams to meet rigorous standards.

  • Manage and negotiate complex long-term commercial agreements with major global companies.

  • Navigate regulatory frameworks related to XR safety, privacy, and interoperability.

  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost-effective execution of XR projects.

  • Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Make data-driven decisions to position our XR offerings effectively.

  • Represent Qualcomm at industry conferences, analyst and press events, contribute to whitepapers, and engage with XR communities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study

  • Fifteen (15) years of related work experience including 5 years in the field of XR, MR, AR, and/or VR in a product management related role

  • Five (5) years of P/L experience

  • Five (5) years of hands-on embedded development/engineering experience

  • Six (6) years of leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, MBA or a related field of study

  • Twenty (20) or more years of related work experience

  • Ten (10) or more years of leadership experience including people management

  • Ten (10) or more years working in a global technology organization

  • Deep understanding of XR developer, applications and services ecosystem, managing platform level software roadmap with SDK/HDKs releases for the developer community.

  • Understanding of open source software development and the open source community.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • SoC architecture knowledge

  • Press and analyst event experience

Analytical Skills:The ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.

Communication:The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.

Creating the New and Different: The ability to be creative. This includes the ability to produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, managing innovation, seeing multiple futures, having broad interests and knowledge, and gaining support in order to translate new ideas into solutions. This also includes the ability to plan and implement unconventional ideas and speculate about alternative futures without all of the data.

Getting Work Done: The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.


Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., planning, scheduling, tracking, execution). This includes the ability to effectively use program management tools to carry out the program management function.

Pay range:

$283,500.00 - $425,000.00
