As a Corporate Meetings & Events - Executive Director you are a strategic leader, responsible for crafting event strategies and ensuring flawless execution. In addition you will partner with internal business leaders and senior management across the Firm to create exceptional experiences that embody our business principles and strategies. You will also lead a team, providing mentorship and fostering accountability in strategic planning, communication, and event execution.
Job responsibilities:
- Spearhead JPMorgan Chase events and conferences for clients and employees, driving strategic event planning and execution.
- Mentor and manage a team of event planners, nurturing their professional growth and ensuring successful event outcomes.
- Lead with a supportive leadership style, inclusivity, openness to new and different ideas.
- Oversee complex budgets and event calendars, emphasizing data management and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and execute event strategies that support business goals, considering factors like venue selection, content, and target audience.
- Ensure adherence to procedures, compliance, controls, and risk management, meeting all requirements and approvals.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their objectives and aligning event strategies accordingly.
- Provide strategic input and recommendations to ensure events align with business goals and priorities.
- Cultivate a collaborative, solution-oriented atmosphere that encourages innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of experience in meeting planning
- Proven experience in people management with a track record of fostering team development.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with clarity and conciseness.
- Highly organized, adept at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Self-directed, proactive, and creative, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
- Ability to thrive through ambiguity and change and a willingness to roll up sleeves and jump into projects with a "one team" mindset
- Creative problem-solving abilities and excellent business judgment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and familiarity with Events Management Platforms.
- Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel as needed (estimated at 35%).
