Manufacturing Engineer
As a(n)Manufacturing Engineer,you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of designated manufacturing equipment.
- This entails initiating and leading projects that result in continuous improvement of Product and Process Understanding (PPU), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and machine Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Having Process Engineering responsibility for web line operations in Menomonie.
- Willingness to support 24/7 production operations.
- Leads projects and Kaizen events focused on improvement of process control plans to ensure assigned production equipment is operating at peak performance
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
- Two (2) years of manufacturing experience within a production plant setting in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Demonstrated results driving projects/initiatives related to product quality improvement, unit cost modeling, and cost reduction projects
- Demonstrated results leading product improvement projects
- Experience leading or participating on cross functional teams, especially across multiple sites or divisions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities
