Lead and execute pension administration processes and controls while prioritizing customer experience and meeting service level agreements
Oversee and execute activities including running of pension valuation and payroll, pension reporting, troubleshooting issues, researching and responding to participant cases and escalations
Lead, coach, train and support a small team of direct reports as a working Leader
Effectively contribute to team projects and/or provide coverage to teammates and team members and support to the larger Retirement Operations team
Drive accuracy, quality and timeliness of the work while meeting plan requirements, regulations and control standards
Develop and maintain procedures and training documentation
Lead and coordinate preparation and distribution of participant communications, such as pension annual statements and annual funding notices
Lead and coordinate Retirement Operations team response to internal and external audits of retirement plans
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Has strong technical knowledge in Pension Operations and systems, with 5+ years’ experience
Has a process and controls mindset, with superior attention to quality and detail
Uses solid judgment and analytical skill to assess situations and determine best course of action
Seeks to improve and document processes, prevent issues and communicates across the team for awareness and understanding
Has strong prioritization and organizing skills, effectively managing work through peak volume periods
Possesses strong people and team leadership, coaching and communications skills, both written and verbal
Has superior data management, reporting and systems skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other systems in a Pension/401(k) Operations setting – PeopleSoft experience is a definite asset
