Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mission-critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, power utility generation facilities, or related fields).
- Fundamental understanding of the International Mechanical Code and Uniform/International Plumbing Codes
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience with formal project management of large scale projects
- Demonstrated experience with critical datacenter critical enviorment equipment
- Technical knowledge in the operation of facility environments' various heating and cooling systems. (Centrifugal chillers, chilled water, adiabatic, thermal storage systems, Computer Room Air Conditioners, Computer Room Air Handling, etc.)
- Experience with alternative, energy efficient water treatment methodologies and developing chemistry programs for processed water treatment
- Understanding of maintenance & operation of critical environment backup electrical equipment. (Diesel generators, radiator, ventilation systems, fuel storage, distribution, & protection systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.)
