What to Expect

This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne head offices.

What You’ll Do
  • Payment Records Management: Reconcile payments not picked up by automation and manually process rebates. Maintain and update ageing payment records. Ensure data accuracy by reconciling and cross-checking information. Manage payments from internal and partner body repair centres, as well as insurance payments. Resolve discrepancies by collaborating with relevant departments.
  • Payment Method Development: Research and propose efficient payment methods. Implement innovative payment solutions to streamline processes. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Account Monitoring: Chase ageing payments and work with managers to improve payment adherence. Manage debt recovery and ageing payments investigations. Ensure timely payment and collection processes. Resolve payment-related inquiries and disputes with internal clients and vendors.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse payment data to identify trends and potential issues. Generate reports and present findings to the finance team. Develop strategies to optimise payment efficiency and minimise risks using data insights.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Assess and recommend improvements for payment processes. Monitor automated processes for accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with IT and development teams on system enhancements. Train team members on payment procedures.
  • Automation Oversight: Ensure automated financial processes are functioning correctly. Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payment processing, account management, financial analysis, and process automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of payment systems, methods, and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus.
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges.
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a passion for being hands-on in their work
