The Product Performance Management Specialist partners across product disciplines, assists in the ownership of the product(s), and monitors drivers for performance.
Manages the ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk, and distribution.
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the product performance team.
Integrates subject matter and industry knowledge within a defined area, requiring an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function and coordinate with overall business objectives.
Evaluates variable and, at times, complex issues with major impact, developing approaches and actions by weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations.
Requires good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
Implements performance improvement strategies, focusing on cross-sell and integration, including developing competitive analyses, market analyses, product development roadmaps, market plans, pricing strategies, and product line extensions.
Assists sales and relationship managers in building skills needed to identify client needs and proposes solutions in line with business objectives.
Partners closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and size new opportunities.
Builds consensus and awareness of the value proposition throughout the organization and key partners.
Prepares materials for the Product Approval Program and related processes, ensuring products adhere to all parameters globally.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, legal, implementations, and sales, to deliver solutions for Citi clients.
Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Manages the Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) process globally, including Annual Risk Assessment (ARA) and Quarterly Testing.
Oversees the New Approval Committee (NAC), Integrated Corrective Action Plan System (ICAPs), and Risk Exception Tracking process globally.
Manages the Intercompany Service Agreement (ICSA) Tracking process and the Centralized Contract Exception Database globally.
Assists with the Rules Committee by developing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and following up on items.
Drafts specifications, requirements, workflows, and procedure documentation as required.
Acts as a key interface between business operations, other product management functions, technology, and vendors globally for internal projects.
Maintains an environment of trust and close cooperation between operations, technology, and global product management.
Leads strong governance and controls, working closely with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance.
Builds a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
Ensures adherence to Citi’s Code of Conduct and Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development.
Experience in logistics or industrial verticals with e-commerce solutions preferred.
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel required; proficiency with SharePoint, Databases, and similar technology a plus.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with sophisticated analytical thought.
Developed diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues, control functions, and occasional external customers.
Experience delivering presentations to clients and senior managers.
A self-starter capable of problem-solving with limited supervision and interacting with senior partners within product lines, across business lines, and with control functions.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. Finance, Economics, or Business Management Preferred
