As the AMR Labor Relations Leader, you’ll bring your talents and expertise to lead a high-performing team of Labor Relations Business Partners, and continue the development of Labor Relations function & practices. You will foster a collaborative labor environment, promote positive employee relations, and ensure adherence to labor laws and internal policies. You will be capable of working successfully in a matrixed organization across diverse Lines of Business. You will bring a deep understanding of the US labor relations landscape with an appreciation of how to build labor relationships strategy and put proactive labor relations efforts in place.
- 15+ years of experience in AMR Labor Relations
- Exceptional leadership and proven team-building skills, with experience managing lean yet high performing teams to deliver on goals
- Proactive labor relations experience, including development of a labor engagement strategy and risk assessment framework
- Experience in collective bargaining, grievance processes, contract administration, and labor and management relationships.
- Experience in successfully navigating a highly matrixed organization
- Successfully led a labor/ employee relations function within a technology/ retail company of comparable scale and complexity preferred
- JD education preferred
- Superb communication skills, including effective listening, writing, and presentation.
- Flexible attitude and approach with the ability to roll up sleeves.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions/recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions in complex and fast-paced environments
- Low ego individual who is comfortable putting the needs of the business above their own
- Able to be in the details as well as elevate to the strategic overview
