Description
Responsibilities Include:- Conduct testing on key cellular functionality, Voice, Data throughput, and User Experience.- Conduct focused field studies to evaluate Antenna/RF performance in near cell, mixed and marginal coverage environments.- Analyze voice and data call issues across different layers of Cellular protocol stack like Phy, Mac, RLC, PDCP, RRC, NAS, and TCP layers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Field or three years of equivalent practical experience
  • Basic knowledge of Cellular Systems (Examples: Cellular Architecture, 4G and 5G systems, Digital Communications)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Understanding of Wireless RF fundamentals
  • Experience with Cellular field validation across 3G, 4G, and 5G systems.
  • Experience with end to end testing, post-processing and analysis of LTE and NR communications system issues
  • Log analysis of Voice and Data Call issues, including understanding various layers of the wireless protocol stack, like Phy, MAC, RLC, PDCP, etc.
  • Performing comprehensive technical reviews of new cellular features and disseminating them to the field engineering organization.
  • Great communication skills and ability to collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams and partners
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,832 and $205,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
