Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify issues and recommend best practices for risk management within the organization.
- Lead functional projects and programs that enhance risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with teams to analyze business trends and their implications for risk management.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in executing risk management initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Drive timely resolution of product-related payment issues by managing escalations and cross-functional communication; optimize the customer experience, minimize risk, and maintain compliance throughout the payment’s ecosystem.
- Categorize, prioritize, and escalate product issues based on their impact, urgency, and risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute effective control measures and issue mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to payment processing and network compliance.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of issue management and associated control, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to proactively address potential issues.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on Issue management best practices and compliance requirements.
- Critical thinker who does not only trust but verifies and uses data to justify cost / benefit of risk exposure.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a risk management or compliance role within the payment processing or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of payments industry, network compliance payment processing regulations and electronic payment flows (card, alternative, cross-border)
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective risk/issue management strategies and control measures.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250
