As a
Business Supply Chain Specialist,you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Translate portfolio business objectives into ESC requirements and develop end-to-end operational plans for execution in partnership with the functions of Plan, Source, Make, Deliver.
• Orchestrate supply chain performance to plan by Division/Portfolio
  (e.g. cost of quality improvement, service, inventory)
• Identify, prioritize, and lead division specific improvement projects across the supply chain through fundamental engineering and supply chain operations principles.
• Optimize material flow through the network. Lead SOS selection process using standardized tools
• Lead CMP Project e.g. Dual Sourcing, RM replacements
• PMO role for key supply chain projects
• Spearhead NPI ESC actions – partner with division cross-functional teams on design for manufacturability, service, product & process capability, and cost effectiveness to ensure successful development, scale-up and launch.
• Partner with division to actively manage product lifecycle and portfolio excellence.
• Ensure long-range capacity plans, supply chain architecture and network will enable growth with acceptable service and inventory levels.
• Determine what is needed to drive service, quality, cost, cash, reliability across PSMD

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of engineering, manufacturing, and/or supply chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or R&D experience
• Demonstrated track record developing and implementing strategies across a global supply chain organization
• Detailed understanding of ESC and BG processes and capabilities
• Service mindset prioritizing needs of BG/3M’s customers as a foundation for decision making
• Works for the success of 3M first before focusing on BG / Division targets
• Experience in implementing supply chain technology solutions to improve efficiency and visibility
• Ability to set priorities drive consensus across cross-functional teams
• Embraces change and supports ESC transformation
• Challenge the status quo and is committed to agreed target delivery
• Strong PMO skills, understand to create problem statements
