We create a variety of content including:

• Security blogs:
• Threat analytics reports in Microsoft 365 Defender portal
• Notification alerts about attack detections displayed in the Microsoft 365 Defender portal

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in writing, content design, information technology (IT), or coding/programming
  • OR equivalent experience.
    
• 5+ years experience in creating technical documentation and security content for enterprise, IT, and cybersecurity.
• 5+ years experience working with cybersecurity researchers/analysts and in-depth understanding of cybersecurity, incident response, malware, adversary tactics and techniques, and telemetry data analysis.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years experience in writing, content design, information technology (IT), or coding/programming
  • OR Technical Certification or Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, English, Writing, Journalism, Communications or related field AND 4+ years experience in writing, content design, information technology (IT), or coding/programming.
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) project leadership/management experience.
• 5+ years experience in a related technical domain.
• Growth mindset and learn-it-all attitude.
• Proven technicalexpertiseand confidence that helps you to ramp up on new projects quickly.

• Work closely with our security researchers/analysts to understand the latest attacks and malware threats.
• Use researcher notes and information to author articles about individual threats and campaigns.You’lluse the right verbiage and guidance to inform and reassure our customers on what to do in case they come across those threats.
• Work in an agile environment with Microsoft security teams around the world.
• Contribute to the social media, editorial, and communications strategy to amplify content and develop cohesive security narrative.
• Work with proprietary tools to publish articles to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal.
