The role is 20 hours a week and based at the Akamai headquarters in Cambridge. You will focus on the administrative functions of the tax team.

As a Financial Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing all tax mail including scanning and logging tax correspondence, mailing items
  • Preparing tax payment requests and processing tax refunds
  • Assisting with procurement functions such as opening purchase orders, initiating requests for proposals
  • Assisting with monthly tax compliance tasks such as pulling reports or invoices out of online databases
  • Assisting the tax team by calling taxing authorities when notices are received to obtain more information

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
  • Have demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and communicate
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of Excel and Microsoft suite (including Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.)
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and while balancing several projects and processes
  • Have ability to work with a high level of accuracy in an ever-changing environment.

There are occasions where this role will require your presence in the Cambridge, MA Akamai office. Although infrequent, applicants should be aware that limited office attendance will be required.
