Your Role and Responsibilities As a Network Support -L2, You are expected to work on Networking products or solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system software ( ie Vendor agnostic) with little or minimum support from superiors. E.g. include: Skills on Routers/Switches/ Load balancer. Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing and implementing networking solutions to address client business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices.
Testing and configuring software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.
Monitor network performance and integrity.
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting MPLS and local infrastructure.
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed.
Maintain complete technical documentation.
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.
Performing troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
Responsible for Network Documentation using Visio Tools, MS-Power Point
Configuration and troubleshooting of routes, VLAN, QoS
Cisco IOS security features and knowledge of security vulnerabilities, threats and attacks
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure Domain
At least five 5 years of experience in Onsite/Off-site Technical Support with minimum 2 Years of L2 level experience.
Relevant experience and certification in Supporting Wireless Networking and Network Security services.
Should be able to trouble shoot and resolve issues related to Wired/Wireless, IPsec VPN, Firewall, Routers, Switches and other network and security components as per the RFP requirements.
Good knowledge of computer Networking/LAN/Hardware (both active and passive)
Good knowledge of VoIP/IP Telephony support. Should be able to trouble shoot all existing Networking systems and any additional systems commissioned as part of this RFP.
Should be able to liaise with OEM / vendor for Hardware & other Complex issues and follow-up till resolution.
Facilitate OEM visits for Hardware (Network, IP Telephony, Security, etc.) installation / troubleshooting and ensure proper records (gate-pass) are maintained for all items received and sent.
Good Verbal and Written communication skills. l. Decent conversational skills in English and Hindi.
Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.
