Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.

As the GPS Asset Manager, you’ll have the responsibilities and accountability for managing and tracking all the GPS devices including GPS desktop and GPS Mobile. You’ll support the end-to-end aspects of asset management starting from initial request to the asset being decommissioned. Closely working with product manager, project managers, Architects, team leaders and technical leads, you’ll be responsible for keeping a detailed inventory of organization’s hardware assets and applying the information gathered in making the best decision concerning asset related purchases and redistribution within the organization.

This role requires an experienced individual to provide technical guidance on generating asset related reports from SNOW or related tools. You must be a self-starter with project management experience.

Your key responsibilities

  • Effectively manage both daily and long-term asset portfolio with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and governance
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control throughout the lifecycle of all company assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage them.
  • Able to create/ generate adhoc or planned reports of asset inventory to meet compliance or specific needs.
  • Eliminate waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing asset resources and avoiding asset purchases that are unnecessary.
  • Ensure effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate
  • Maintaining effective and consistent communication with teammates, peers, and the leadership team
  • Raising risks and issues to the team lead and project managers whenever necessary
  • Resolving and act as escalation and coordination point for incidents and problems related to escalations from service desk and performs root cause analysis
  • Partnering with the support team to work through tickets to share and document knowledge and best practices with the aim for the team to support independently

Skills and attributes for success

  • Brings proven industry leading expertise in SNOW, Asset management tools.
  • Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications
  • Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries, and time zones

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor Engineering or Science discipline or related work experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top secret security clearance
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as five or more years’ experience working as an IT asset manager or analyst.
  • Strong knowledge and five years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports
  • Three years or more ITSM tool experience, as well as ServiceNow – Asset management module experience
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully
  • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Adapts personal communication style to the style of others, develops rapport and stays calm under pressure or escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Familiarity with US Government Compliance Frameworks such as NIST 800-171 R2, NIST 800-53, DFARS and US Cloud Security Requirements

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $67,900 to $123,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $81,500 to $140,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
