What you'll do...
The Supervisor is expected to work closely with Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure the following:Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships, Error Rate, Denial Rate, Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery, ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH, Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction, Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts, Direct Supervision/training of GSR 6 supervisors. Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness, Grievance Resolution, Supervision mentoring and Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required.
Cover crews in supervisor's absence
Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings
Prepare/maintain work related records as needed
Schedule workforce (including overtime and vacation)
Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best in class performance
You'll have...
•Minimum 1 year operational experience within a High Cube Center preferred.
•Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
•Self Starter
•Previous UAW/HCC supervisory experience preferred, willing to work rotating work hours when required
•Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM) Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently
•Goal oriented individual
•Have Continuous Improvement mind set
•Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees
•Other Information: Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours.
•Current operational hours are from 6:00 AM until 1:30 AM
•Some weekends might be required
•Must have the ability to work overtime/adjust schedule as required, as the business dictates.
